So London's been somewhat strange since the events of thursday. I don't think i have ever seen so much police activity. Alot of whats happening here isn't being reported on the news, i guess through fears of causing further panic. Granted nothing further has actually happened but since Thursday, Loads of train stations are continuously being evacuated due to reported threats and this morning a train was trapped at hyde park underground because of further security alarms. What is weird though is that people aren't really reacting to it much at all. Infact people seem calmer than ever. I guess because something has finally happened we no longer have the WHEN hanging over us anymore. I love Britian. People slag this country off, but i think its awesome. I don't think any other country handles things the way we do. It's kind of a, 'nice try' attitude cause we know in the end that they amount to nothing and the reason they are attacking us has nothing to do with religion. It mounts down to one thing. Power. We have it. And i guess by some ridiculous act of terrorism they think they can put fear into us and somehow gain the power. But y'know what, i still get on the underground everyday. And not because i'm trying to say ner ner ner ner ner, its just this i really couldn't give a damn, I do it cause i have to go to work and i'm not gonna go out of my way to get up earlier so i can walk or something.
Our country has a history of violence. We were bred upon violence. It was us who went around for centuries slaughtering others. So if someone does it to us i guess its just a kinda instinct that we've been there done that. Don't get me wrong i feel aweful for those who died but we did it first. (Although that is in no way meant as an excuse) Point is the reason i don't think we've raised to the issue in fear is because a typical night in the life of a British person is to go down the pub. Drink the brewery dry. And then beat the fuck out of eachother. Coz we're british and thats what we do, we're world renowned for it. Granted i myself don't go around glassing people but in the generalised sense if we smash the heck out of one another than do they really think a bomb is gonna make us quack in our boots. Give me a break!!!!
Anyway enough of my shit. Dunno what made me write that. I do that sometimes. Write pointless shit that doesn't amount to anything.
Update later

They may blow some of us up, but that's not going to stop us. Shaken not stirred :)

And you may have to explain the whole Blitzkreig thing, we're not all as intelligent as some. :)

And a quote:
London has survived far far worse... and still come out fighting.

and of course our own little civil wars too.
Mmmm. Actually, maybe our past is more like the past of a old drunken brawler, come to think of it.
Anyway. Killing about 50 of our people may impact the people involved, but it isn't going to bother the nation much methinks. The only problem is if Blair uses it as an excuse to go beat up another random middle eastern country... :s
